The Flash series is not another cliched superhero story though it is based on the story of Barry Allen, the Flash.It cast a lot of though-provoking questions on every audience who really pays attention watching it.I think that is what matters for a good drama.

The questions which writers want us to think about in this season can be attributed as follows.

How would you react if you knew you only have a few weeks to live?To battle against the inevitable destiny or peacefully accept it and make the rest of your days worthy?It is the difference between Ramsey and Barry.And their different beliefs lead to different outcomes.

What would you do if you learned that your beloved ones is going to die?Would do whatever it takes to save them regardless of morality?You can use the cure to save your friend or give it away to save who your friend wants to save.So far,you can see--there are full of moral dilemmas in this TV series.But the point is that it is this tough decisions what make who we are.

Is there necessarily an reward for all your sacrifices?Why does the Flash still has to die when he has saved millions of lives?Is it fair?Is it supposed to be the way how the universe works?What it reflects here is that there is no guarantee for the repays of good deeds.If you desire rewards before you’ve done something good.Then it can’t be called a selfless deed but rather a transaction.One good deed for a good repayment.If heroes have to weigh the returns he’s going to claim before he save lives,they are not real heroes.So the upcoming death for the Flash actually shows us what a real hero means.I love the lines in this series,it goes like this, ‘No person is immune to feat and doubt no matter how brave.That’s what makes you human.But the courage to move forward, even in the face of overwhelming odds, that’s what makes you a hero.’

Should heroes kill the bad guys?As we can see, in the Flash series,the Flash has sent hundreds of villains to Iron Heights,a prison,but inevitably some of them escape jail even more than one time.I can’t help asking why didn’t the Flash kill them.Killing is the act of preventing future disturbances for good.It is noticeable that the Flash scolded killer frost that she blasted bloodwork(a villain) out of the window and it could have killed him.There is another tricky thing that the Flash never killed the Reverse Flash who murdered his mom even when he got the perfect chance to do so.From what is shown above,there seems to be an invisible moral code inside every superhero--NO KILLING.I think that is what separates them from others.Because no matter out of what cause, the act of killing itself can’t be universal.It is absolutely wrong even heroes can’t excuse themselves for doing so.Besides, criminals are human beings;they have human rights--they are themselves but not the tools of others to achieve goals.If superheroes kill villains to prevent future crimes,they are in another way killing the villains to achieve other purposes,however,villains themselves are in no way tools.

The most moving part is that the Flash Season 6 solves the problem which has hung over my heart ever since I’ve watched Star Wars:Episode III-Revenge of the Sith.What it is in the dark side that lures the previous good guys even heroes,turn them against their original kindness,eventually embrace the darkness and become a monster?Palpatine succeeded in turning Anakin Skywalker.Ramsey almost succeeded in turning Barry.They were lured by the physical and touchable gifts from the dark side that could solve urgent problems that had been torturing them.As always, the dark side can satisfy people’s needs which the bright side is incapable of.The most tempting one is to defy death.The dark side can offer you and your beloved ones immortality while the bright side can only let you accept the unchangeable truth of death.In the face of death,everyone’s survival desire is activated and everyone wants to defy their destiny.Sometimes I think it is totally a paradox because the bright side is supposed to save lives rather than sit there doing nothing and see them unravel.Why shouldn’t they take the offering of the dark side when the role brightness and darkness are playing have already reversed?But in this season’s Flash, the writer tells us the unspoken truth through the mouth of Nora,a symbol of Speed Force-- ‘Accepting Ramsey’s blood would save your body from the coming Crisis but not your soul. You would lose the best of you: your joy, your passion, your light, the part of you that Iris loves.’Those lines perfectly answered why Anakin want to save Amilada in the beginning but once he steps into the dark side of the force he unintentionally cause the death of Amilada which is exactly what he wanted to prevent.收起
